About me
My name is Pieter van Vleuten.
I've been making music since I was 11. It started with making hip-hop beats, and grew into producing, mixing, songwriting and recording artists. In 2021 I graduated from the College For The Arts in Utrecht (HKU) as a Music Technologist, with a specialization in composition and music production. That same year I started my master: Music Design. In 2019 I did an internship as an engineer and mixer at LEF Studios in Uden.
I play guitar, bass, keys and I sing. My musical taste and knowledge is broad; I am familiar with hip hop, rock, indie, pop, R&B, punk, jazz and more. I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with beloved orchestras such as the Metropole Orkest and the Netherlands Wind Ensemble.
In 2021 I released my debut EP "Violet" as PIT ; a pseudonym under which I release dream-pop/psych-rock music as a solo artist. For PIT I do all the writing, production, recording and mixing work. Together with my friend Matz Hoogeveen I form the psychedelic rock band The Wily Project.
On Youtube I have a channel called PIT Game Music where I make one-man-band covers of video game compositions.
My goal is to materialize the client's vision and to realize it as accurately as possible; to make the picture come to life in the artist's head. Whether you want to develop an idea into an audible end result, have an original composition for your visual project or have your track mixed; everything is possible. I like to sit down with a client and work out their demos and ideas with them, using my musical insight, multi-instrumentation, technical skills and broad network. Comfort, openness and trust during the creative process are my top priorities and I'm only happy when the client is too.
